New Member Emerald Photography Featured in Elle Magazine
As a small business receiving press is a huge achievement, especially in national magazines - this is exactly what happened to new member Emerald Photography has her shoot featured in Elle Magazine.
Debbie from Emerald Photography, who specialise in empowering and luxurious boudoir photography experiences for those who identify as female and non-binary, found out just yesterday that Elle Magazine had featured her images in a feature on Ethical Plus Sized Brands. The stunning imagery was of model and actor Michelle Hopewell for sustainable and size inclusive London based brand We Are Kin.
Debbie comments on the news:
I met the lovely Michelle on Instagram and we planned to do a photography project together as she's based in Edinburgh and I'm in Falkirk. I loved her posts on body love and acceptance, as well as plus size ethical fashion - it's really in line with my own message as a photographer focusing on female empowerment and living your life unapologetically.
After rescheduling so many times because of all the heavy rain (thank you Scottish summer!), we finally got together and created some magic! Michelle is an absolute joy and it was a privilege capturing her personality in photos. We planned to do some cute and colourful summer photos as well as some 'cottagecore' vibes - complete with vintage picnic basket and sunflowers! We had a lot of fun and finished off the shoot with the last of the daylight (and just before it started raining yet again) with her wearing her fabulous white linen puff-sleeve dress from sustainable and ethical brand, We Are Kin. It was one of these photos that got published in Elle as part of the 'Best Plus Size Brands: 17 Size-Inclusive Fashion Brands You Deserve' article. It was totally unexpected and such a lovely surprise.
