Dear Green Claes

Welcome to Dear Green Claes. We believe in the simple things: fair pay and working conditions, abolishing animal cruelty, patter. We want you to take pride in being Scottish, vegan, an ethical consumer or all three (we love you).

Textile artist turned ceramicist Kirsty Jay Anderson makes functional stoneware ceramics, minimal, with the rustic and warm feeling you find at home. The vessels themselves are simple shapes taken from her interest in the aesthetics of past objects. The ceramic pieces range from mugs and bowls for daily use as well as unique vases. Kirsty has various stockists around the UK, she also has shop updates which are shared on Instagram and is a member of ceramic collective studio Clay Coven.

The Alchemy Experiment

The Alchemy Experiment is an exhibition and events space in the West End of Glasgow. Art galleries can often feel intimidating and uninviting; the goal of The Alchemy Experiment is to create a space that is welcoming, inclusive and acts as a hub for people to relax, enjoy art and listen to music. The space was stripped to its existing features to reveal large rear windows (accompanied by an all glass shopfront to allow for an abundance of natural night) exposed brick and original steel features. We commissioned the construction of a stunning all concrete coffee unit which acts as an art piece in itself and also as a focal point of the space. The basement has been converted into a smaller viewing gallery that also functions as a tuition space, workshop area and small screening room complete with a 4K projector and surround sound. The flexibility of the space allows for a variety of events to take place and its location on Byres Rd. ensures high footfall from both locals and visitors to the city. If you are interested in using the space for an event, exhibition, workshop, talk or any creative venture please do not hesitate to get in touch as we would love to discuss your project.

Submarine Shop

We sell a curated collection of contemporary prints & artwork, with a focus on Scottish creatives, online and from our shop on Kent Street in Glasgow’s historic Barras. Our mission is to provide artwork that is accessible to everyone, and to highlight the diversity of style and technique on offer from local artists. The shop is part of brand and design studio, Submarine, run by Mark & Mandy Reid-Foster (Mandy aka illustrator Mandy Maria). Submarine collaborates with a diverse range of clients both commercial and cultural, in the UK and abroad. Blending imagination and attention to detail, we apply a diverse skillset to branding & design across web and print.
